Bob Dougherty - Lead Vocals / Rhythm Guitar
Bob Dougherty was seduced by the music of U2, REM, and Oasis in his formative years. His first foray into performing guitar music involved singing at open mics in New York City before he took a job on the Disney Wonder Cruise Ship, where he performed at crew functions. He next accepted the position of entertainer at Club Med Cancún, where he regularly played solo acoustic sets against the backdrop of the Gulf Of Mexico. He moved to Los Angeles, CA, where he began to collaborate with Grammy winner Alexander Track, whom he had met during his final Club Med contract down in the Yucatan. Sensaround was born! Bob's contribution to the project is creating thoughtful, evocative lyrics & melodies as well as delivering vocals rich in hooks, passion and honesty.
With world-renowned symphony and choral conductor Gerhard Track and Beethoven Piano Competition winner Micaela Maihart-Track as parents, it was no surprise that Alexander Track grew up performing in a number of orchestras, choirs, ensembles and bands. Taking first place at the Tri-State Music Festival piano competition, Track's passion turned to drums and percussion. His teachers included Edward Small (Denver Symphony Orchestra) and Richard Hochrainer (Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra). Graduating with honors with a Masters of Music Degree from the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria, Alexander went on to become CEO of Track Entertainment Studios in Los Angeles, a state-of-the-art recording facility featuring 4 studios. Since 1988, after attending MIT in Hollywood, Track has been involved in all aspects of the music industry in Los Angeles from scoring pictures to composing, arranging, recording, mixing, mastering and producing records. Starting off strictly in classical music, his musical scope spans across many genres including Barbershop Quartet, Jazz, R&B, Pop, Punk, Rock and Metal. Track’s exceptional skills were recognized when he won a Grammy Award for engineering.
Alexander Track is endorsed by Sabian Cymbals and Xcel Drumsticks.
Coming from a family littered with musicians and artists, Nate was raised with a deep appreciation of the language of music. His father taught him piano at a young age and Nate won many local competitions at festivals in Canada. In his later teenage years, Nate picked up the guitar and never looked back. He toured in Canada with rock bands until he decided to pick up and start over in Los Angeles. Eager to grow as much as possible, Nate studied at Musicians Institute and played for many bands in Hollywood. He managed to secure residencies, as well as play all of the legendary clubs on the strip. He’s played many festivals like Vans Warped Tour, Hell & Heaven Fest, as well as South By Southwest to name a few. Touring most of the United States as well as Mexico has given Nate a well rounded perspective on the industry. His love for the studio is what brought him to the Sensaround crew and now it’s time to shine.
